The 3rd Islamic Solidarity Games was organized in the city of Palembang, Indonesia from 22 September to 01 October 2013, with the participation of 2575 participants, representing 39 member countries. The competitions were held in athletics, badminton, karate, volleyball, swimming, basketball, taekwondo, beach volleyball, archery, football, tennis, weightlifting, wushu, Pencak Silat, and Sepak takraw.
