The 3rd ISSF International Solidarity World Ranking Archery Championships kicks off in Bangladesh
The 3rd ISSF International Solidarity World Ranking Archery Championship was kicked off on Saturday 23 February 2019. The Championship was organized by the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation (ISSF) in cooperation with the Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) and Bangladesh Archery Federation (BAF) in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The Championship will continue until 27 February 2019.
The Opening Ceremony was attended by HE Mr. Zahid Ahsan Russel State Minister for Youth and Sports of Bangladesh, Mr. Muhammed S. AL-GARNAS the ISSF Secretary General, Mr. Abdulaziz Bin S. AL-DALLAK the ISSF Treasurer, Mr. Tom Dielen the General Secretary of World Archery, Mr. Syed Shahed Reza the BOA Secretary General, Lt Gen (retd) Md Mainul Islam the BAF President, Mr. Kazi Rajib Uddin Ahmed Chapol the ISSF Executive Board Member and BAF Secretary General.
143 participants took part in the Championship (64 male athletes, 46 female athletes, 33 officials and coaches) representing the following 23 countries (Albania, Algeria, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Chad, Cameroon, Germany, India, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Saudi Arabia, Malawi, Nepal, Pakistan, Sudan, Syria, Thailand, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, China Taipei, Uganda).
