ISSF Secretary General attends the 45th CFM
On the invitation of H.E. OIC Secretary General of OIC Dr Yousef AL- OTHAIMEEN, Mr. Mohammed Saleh AL-GARNAS the ISSF Secretary General attended the 45th session of the Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) held on 5-6 May 2018 in Dhaka, the Capital of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.
The conference was inaugurated by H.E. Sheikh Hasina, Hon’ble Prime Minister of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.
H.E. Mr. Marcel Amon-Tanoh, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Côte d’Ivoire and Chair of the 44th session of the CFM gave a welcoming speech on the election of the Bureau and handing over the Presidency of the Conference to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.
Afterwards, the Chairman of the 45th session of the CFM, H.E. Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh welcomed the delegations participating in the Conference, then there was the speech of the representative of presidency of Islamic Summit of OIC, H.E. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, Bekir Bozdag, followed by the words of African, Arab and Asian groups.
After that, there was the speech of the Special Guest H.E. Crista Freeland the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada followed by the speech of the Secretary General of Organization of Islamic Cooperation H.E. Dr. Yousef bin Ahmad Al-Othaimeen who dedicated a Piece of Cloth of the Holy Kabaa to HE Prime Minister, then the slogan of the 45th Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers was unveiled and H.E. Sheikh Hasina The Prime Minister of Bangladesh delivered her speech.
Closed Sessions of the Conference followed where all Resolutions related to the work of Political, Economic and Cultural Organizations & Entities were addressed, including the resolutions of ISSF.
